Empowering trans young people to bring about positive change in their communities
Our Trans Young Campaigners programme is a 4-day and 3-night residential where participants are given space to reflect on their own identity and experiences as well as being given the tools and confidence to campaign for LGBTQ+ equality. Delegates will also hear from trans activists, campaigners and role models.
After the residential, delegates will research, design and deliver campaigns in their schools, colleges, universities, workplaces or wider communities.
Who can apply?
Our campaigning programmes for young people are designed for a maximum of 30 delegates. This programme is for people who identify as trans, wich includes any identity under the trans umbrella. We encourage a diverse range of applicants from different ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds, people of faith and people of differing abilities. Applicants must be aged between 16 to 25 on the first day of the programme.
Stonewall covers all costs relating to the programme, including travel to and from the residential venue and all meals.
If you have any questions about the programme please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Applications open this summer and the programme will run in autumn 2020.
