Stonewall Youth Volunteering Programme
Stonewall Youth Volunteers campaign in schools and colleges to tackle homophobic bullying and are a vital part of our Education for All campaign.
How the programme works:
January 2013: New Youth Volunteers attend a three day residential to become part of the Stonewall team & meet their mentors
January-March 2013: Youth Volunteers run their campaigns in communities across the country and celebrate LGBT History Month in February
March 2013: At an Advanced Campaigning Day Youth Volunteers attend workshops to learn how to make a film clip, poster or blog to help tackle homophobic language
April-June 2013: Youth Volunteers develop and launch their new resource
June 2013: We celebrate the change that our Youth Volunteers have led in their communities at a Youth Awards Event.
If you are aged 16-21 and like the sound of the Youth Volunteering Programme, we will be recruiting more Youth Volunteers later in 2013 so watch this space!
