The competition

Stonewall launched its annual film clip competition in 2009 to provide a platform for young people's voices.  Working alongside the BFI London Lesbian and gay Film Festival enables us to ensure the messages meet the widest possible audience.  Film makers don't need to be lesbian, gay or bisexual to enter, just aged 16 to 21 with a positive message about being young and LGB that they would like others to hear.  Clips can be up to three minutes in length and can be filmed in any medium including mobile phone/webcam/DV camcorder/digital camera.  It can also be animated.

2011 Judges

Stonewall invites media industry insiders to judge the entries.  The judges who generously gave their time to judge the competition this year, alongside Stonewall Chief Executive Ben Summerskill were:

John Partridge - Stonewall Entertainer of the Year award winner who has been delighting audiences as Christian in Eastenders since 2008, the first gay character in the long-running soap

Anna Richardson- presenter of fabulous Channel 4 programme The Sex Education Show and supporter of Stonewall's anti-homophobia work
